Current Activities
Well the calendar says winter is here, but I would say more like a great fall for us...mostly 70s with an occasional 80 still. At least getting some rain. It is a wonderful time of year, great to be able to work outside as plenty to do recovering from brutal summer and getting ready for our 6 weeks of winter sometime in January or February! Working the cattle, weaning calves, improving fencing, cutting LOTS of dead trees and of course celebrating this wonderful holiday season.
Speaking of ready, we still have one steer left coming along nicely for a late winter or early spring processing, calves are being weaned now, love seeing them run in the field like children. Also doing a major herd reduction to simplify our operations so check out our sales page. Always open to questions if we can help and selling through out year.
Thank you for visiting and here's to good health, healthy eating and the joys of family and life. God bless and may you all have a blessed season.
Yes our animals are spoiled, but No we don't allow them in the house. You have to be careful on a ranch as you never know when the inmates plan a little B&E (Breaking and Entering).

A little about ourselves
We started our journey over 30 years ago meeting during our college years. We have traveled and lived in many wonderful places, including half a dozen states and a very nice stint in Europe. One thing has never changed in all those years; our love of family, outdoors, food and great friends. We have contemplated many alternative opportunities beyond our corporate careers, but nothing ever seemed to merge our various interests until our family began growing again into an extended family with boyfriends and ultimately, son in laws.
Thus our journey began 10 years ago working the great outdoors, grow quality food in a humane and natural way, share our love of animals and build something of our own all while being close with family and putting down some deep Texas roots. Mike & Kelley Oh, about our name, 3 Heifers and A Bull. This is a tip of the hat to our family; wife, 2 daughters and dad. While not technically correct regarding heifers and bulls anymore and our family has now expanded, our girls liked the name and recognizes the nucleus of where we started, 3 ladies and one old guy. Thank you for visiting and please come back often and email with questions and suggestions. |
