Current Activities
Spring has sprung and summer arrived with temps now commonly in the 90's, even had 102 heat index and only first of June! Blessed with another very productive calving season and looking forward to summer. Things starting out as typical for Texas with big swings, wet and cooler, then hot and steamy, garden finally taking off with an abundance of cukes, peppers, squash with tomatoes and okra about ready to pick. Speaking of ready, we have several steers coming along nicely for a late fall processing, calves are coming along, love seeing them run in the field like children, and blessed with several sales that allow us to help others start or expand their herd as well as provide a fantastic freezer full of meat. Spring vacs are complete, we are still cleaning up from winter and spring storms, an ongoing item, and continual refinement of ranch with lots of help from the grand kids! Always open to questions if we can help and selling through out year.
Thanks for visiting and here's to good health, healthy eating and the joys of family and life.
Yes our animals are spoiled, but No we don't normally allow them in the house. You have to be careful on a ranch as you never know when the inmates plan a little B&E (Breaking and Entering)

A little about ourselves
We started our journey over 30 years ago meeting during our college years. We have traveled and lived in many wonderful places, including half a dozen states and a very nice stint in Europe. One thing has never changed in all those years; our love of family, outdoors, food and great friends. We have contemplated many alternative opportunities beyond our corporate careers, but nothing ever seemed to merge our various interests until our family began growing again into an extended family with boyfriends and ultimately, son in laws.
Thus our journey began 10 years ago working the great outdoors, grow quality food in a humane and natural way, share our love of animals and build something of our own all while being close with family and putting down some deep Texas roots. Mike & Kelley Oh, about our name, 3 Heifers and A Bull. This is a tip of the hat to our family; wife, 2 daughters and dad. While not technically correct regarding heifers and bulls anymore and our family has now expanded, our girls liked the name and recognizes the nucleus of where we started, 3 ladies and one old guy. Thank you for visiting and please come back often and email with questions and suggestions. |
